Making instruments!

We have been investigating how sound is made. We decided to make our own shakers and thought carefully about what sound we wanted to create. Some of us chose polystyrene pieces to create a soft sound. The shakers made with chick peas made a loud sound and those made with rice were a bit quieter. Here are some photos taken during the lesson.

Exploring Sound

We have been learning about sound in science. We explored different ways of making sound using our bodies and lots of instruments.

We explored instruments you can pluck, bang and shake. We made a lot of noise!
